About your instructor, Mirco Melone
Experienced and highly skilled electric and upright bass guitar teacher with in-depth knowledge of music theory and a knack for inspiring and tutoring students. Thorough musical training includes a diploma from Bruno Maderna Classical Music Conservatory in Cesena, Italy and numerous master classes and workshops.
Since moving to the United States in 2017, Mirco has been active in the local Bay Area music scene. From teaching lessons at the School of Rock in Walnut Creek, to taking on countless private students virtually during COVID, Mirco has made his mark as a hard-working and hard-slapping bassist. Mirco has also played with a number of North American and Italian bands, such as touring band Tempest, ZooNotes, Moonbow, as well as playing at numerous events and weddings as an independent musician.
In 2021, Mirco released an EP with producer Mitch Grimes on a project called “Unity of Sound”, featuring Jim Bogios from the Counting Crows.
Most recently, Mirco composed, produced, and recorded a new EP for his own project, Earth Sound System, featuring Nikolay Georgiev on guitar, Bill Ortiz on trumpet (Santana), Kevin Wong on keyboard, and Darian Gray on drums.
